Extra curricular activities include French, Music (tin whistle), Swimming and Tag Rugby, School Garden, Speech & Drama Classes, a Sensory Room for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and we are also a Green School. We also have a choir and we partake in Local Religious Cermonies.

Pupils participate in the following competitions:
Community games, hurling and camogie primary schools league, basketball, hurling and camogie seven-a-side competition, tennis and essay competitions.

Ogonnelloe N.S. was recently registered for the Green Flag Schools Competition with An Taisce.
