St. John’s is a multi-denominational school, with students coming from a variety of religious backgrounds, including Church of Ireland, Methodist, Presbyterian, Catholic and children of the Baha’I faith.  It is a two-teacher school, and was in fact the first school to be founded in Shannon in 1961.

Activities: Children learn Tin-Whistle in Music class. The school regularly takes part in Readathons and Skipathons.
