Strategic Policy Committees

Five Strategic Policy Committees were established by Clare County Council in June 2000. Their task is to assist and advise the Council in the formulation, development and review of policy. The Strategic Policy Committees will not be concerned with individual representational or operational issues. Final policy decisions will ultimately rest with the full Council acting as a body. Membership of the five Strategic Policy Committees is set out hereunder.

• Strategic Policy Committee 2 - Environmental and Emergency Services and Consumer Protection Policy
• Strategic Policy Committee 3 - Transportation and Infrastructural Policy
• Strategic Policy Committee 4 - Housing and Social Policy
• Strategic Policy Committee 5 - Community and Cultural Development Policy
