Tulla Library is one of 15 libraries throughout the county that will be holding a series of events to celebrate Children's Book Festival.

Well known author and illustrator, Niamh Sharkey, will visit the library on Monday, October 1, at 11.00am and will read from her much loved stories and give a step-by-step demonstration on the drawing of her favourite characters in her books such as Tales from Old Ireland.

On Wednesday, October 3, at 1.30pm there will be a Magic of India Puppet Show for children aged 6 and over.

Nature expert, Eanna Ni Lamhna, will visit the library on Monday, October 22, at 2.15pm. She is well known from RTE 1's Mooney Goes Wild and is a regular visitor on The Den. She will give an interactive talk and slide show on Ireland's wildlife.

On Tuesday, October 23, at 11.00am, The Wishing Tree by the Dog and String Theatre, for ages 5 to 10, will visit the library. This production explores a broad range of puppetry from life size puppets to animated objects and shadow puppetry.

All events are free of charge.
