Clare FM and County Arts Office Nominated for AwardClare Champion, Friday, 13th April 2007Clare is represented in this year's arts sponsor of the year awards, with Clare FM and Clare County Council's Arts Office nominated for the Allianz Business2Arts Awards 2007. All arts organisations who apply are eligible to win the €4,000 Dublin Airport Authority Arts Award for the most effective and imaginative collaboration with a business. A total of 58 relationships between business and the arts have been nominated for the Allianz Business2Arts which recognise excellence in arts sponsorship by Irish business and showcase the benefits of successful collaboration between arts and business in Ireland. In the coming days, all 58 applications will go to the jury panel for consideration and a shortlist will be announced in early May. The winners of the eight categories will be heralded at a special gala dinner and awards ceremony which will be held in The Mansion House, Dublin, on May 30th. President Mary McAleese, Patron of Business2Arts will be in attendance to present the awards. Speaking about the awards, Stuart McLaughlin, Chief Executive of Business2Arts said, "These awards offer businesses and arts organisations a unique opportunity to showcase their mutual innovation and creativity". The jury panel comprises Bridie Rosney, Director of Communicatiions, RTÉ; Eamon Delaney, Editor, Magill Magazine; Fiona Kearney, Director, Lewis Glucksman Gallery, Cork; Gerry Kelly, Director of Social Regeneration, Dublin Docklands Development Authority; Aibhlín McCrann, Council Member, Arts Council and Communications Consultant; Ursula Murphy, head of Human Resources, Allianz Ireland and Rory Sheridan, Sponsorship Manager, Diageo Ireland. |
