The Sean Lemass Library is still running a series of events with plenty to keep children occupied even if the weather is diasppointing.
Today (Tuesday), artist Rachel Murphy will host an art workshop for 7 to 12 year olds at 3.00pm. Booking is required so phone ahead. Tomorrow (Wednesday), at 4.00pm, there will be a Children's book club for 9 to 12 year olds.
On Thursday, August 2, children between 7 and 12 years can express their creativity with an arts and crafts 'Paint and Create' workshop. This commences at 4.00pm.
Next Tuesday, August 7, Shannon's younger children, between 4 and 6 years, will be catered for with 'Tot's Time' which offers fun stories, crafts and games. This workshop also starts at 4.00pm.
Empowering the People: The Career and Achievements of Dr. Brendan O'Regan is still running at the Sean Lemass Public Library. The exhibition, which opened on July 2, will run until Wednesday, August 15. The exhibition was inspired by the Dr. Brendan O'Regan Archive presented to Clare County Library by Shannon Development Company/Shannon Heritage. A free booklet accompanies the exhibition which was created by the Clare Museum. The library provides recorded interviews with Dr. O'Regan which are accessible in the library on audio CD disks.
