This promotion offers our changing Irish society a selection of children’s books that reflect the lives of people from the many different cultures living in Ireland today.

Books such as the East-African based Masai and I or C is for China evoke colourful images of the traditional lives of many children from other countries who have come to live in County Clare.

The promotion consists mainly of picture books traditionally aimed at young children. However, the books present both young and old readers with the opportunity of gaining an insight into the beliefs and ways of life in many different countries. The collection also contains a selection of entertaining and representative poems from around the world.
