A meeting to plan and announce details of the annual Christmas Craft Fair will be held in Shannon Library on the 30th September 2003.
Drug Awareness Information Display, Sean Lemass Library, Shannon
A Drug Awareness Information Display will be available for viewing in Shannon Library from Monday 25th August to 13th September, in conjunction with Clare Community Drug Service.
Exhibition from Artists in Schools Scheme, Shannon Library Beginning Tuesday 5th August to the end of August, art from 4th class students in St. Aidan's National School Shannon, completed under the guidance of artist Helene English will be on display in Sean Lemass Library, Shannon Town Centre. The scheme is supported by Clare County Council.
Summer Reading Project for Children aged 7 to 12 years - The countywide Library Summer Reading Project will run from the 1st of July to the 31st August 2003. Choose from a recommended list of twenty authors. Certificates will be presented in the Autumn to children who have read books by ten or more of the authors listed.

Art Workshop for Children, Sean Lemass Library, Shannon Visiting artist, Helene English will run two art workshops for children aged between eight and twelve years at Sean Lemass Library, Shannon on Thursday the 24th July at 3.30 p.m.and again on Thursday the 14th August at 3.30 p.m.

Special Olympics Civic Reception - On Thursday, June 19th, at 8.00 p.m. Sean Lemass Library, Shannon is the venue for a civic reception for Special Olympics participants and their host families. Shannon is host town to Azerbijan.
Special Olympics Art Exhibition, Sean Lemass Library, Shannon On the 11th June at 3.00 p.m., local artist and author Phil Brennan will officially open Shannon’s Art Exhibition to coincide with the Special Olympics World Summer Games. The theme of the art exhibition is ‘Share the Feeling’
