Picture This - A Picture Book Promotion for Children

Books from the Picture This promotion are available for borrowing in Corofin library until the end of June 2003.

Clare County Library in association with the National Reading Initiative has published a book by the same title to accompany this promotion. Copies of the book are available for purchase through all library branches at a cost of €9.00.

Titles in the promotion are ideally suited to parents and teachers who wish to share everyday experiences in story with young children. The stories help illustrate the ordinary childhood experiences through a combination of words and pictures in a way that will appeal to parents and children alike.

The books were chosen to reflect childhood experiences such as Growing Up and Friendship and Sharing and Home and Family. Other categories include Fears and Anxieties and there is also a selection of picture books in the Irish language.
