‘Mindfulness Through Art’ Workshop, A Healthy Ireland at Your Library event
Seán Lemass Public Library, Shannon at 6pm

Join Tatjana Simakova in a 2 hour long workshop for adults, which aims to turn off a busy mind and awaken creativity. No artistic skills required and all materials provided. Teen Film Club - Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Scariff Public Library at 6pm

Former scientist Galen Erso lives on a farm with his wife and young daughter, Jyn. His peaceful existence comes crashing down when the evil Orson Krennic takes him away from his beloved family. Many years later, Galen becomes the Empire's lead engineer for the most powerful weapon in the galaxy, the Death Star. Knowing that her father holds the key to its destruction, Jyn joins forces with a spy and other resistance fighters to steal the space station's plans for the Rebel Alliance.(cert 12) This is a free event. Thinking Outside the Lochs - A Down-to-Earth Way of Learning Irish
Scariff Public Library at 7.00 pm

Pól Ó Murchú attained an MA from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2002, where he became the first American in Ireland’s history to earn a degree in Irish.
Pól will outline his experience in learning the Irish language as an outsider, despite facing many obstacles. He will examine the sophisticated structure of the language and why it can be a challenge for a Béarlóir to learn it.
Pól will welcome questions and discussion on his experience learning Irish as a non-native speaker. This talk is sure to be of interest to many, from the enthusiastic Gaeilgeoir to the less than fluent speaker and everyone inbetween!

Movie Screening – “Love and Friendship”
Killaloe Public Library at 7.30 pm

Love & Friendship is a 2016 period comedy film written and directed by Whit Stillman. Based on Jane Austen's epistolary novel Lady Susan, written ca. 1794, the film stars Kate Beckinsale, Chloë Sevigny, Xavier Samuel, and Stephen Fry. The film follows recently widowed Lady Susan in her intrepid and calculating exploits to secure suitably wealthy husbands for her daughter and herself.

On the day before his wedding, Huxley meets Mrs. Random's high-spirited young niece, Susan Vance (Katharine Hepburn), a madcap adventuress who immediately falls for the straitlaced scientist.
