Antiquities Exhibition
To accompany the launch of our fourth major publication The Antiquities of County Clare, 1839, CLASP produced an exhibition containing extracts and information pertaining to the book. This information was grouped into the following catagories:
  • General background information
  • Churches
  • Castles
  • Legends & Folklore
  • Placenames

The layout, design and research of the exhibition boards was carried out by all the trainees on the CLASP team.

The exhibition also contained twelve watercolour paintings of archaeological sites in County Clare by trainee, Imelda Greene.
A model of the Tau Cross, the original of which is housed in Corofin Heritage Centre, was constructed by trainees Tina Robinson, Joanne Considine and Catriona Malone using a variety of material including tissue paper, sand, gravel and cardboard. Siobhan Murphy produced three unique wood carvings of archaeological features in County Clare.
