Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood

Alias Grace is a literary thriller which explores the issues of gender and privilege in mid 19thcentury North America. This novel is based on the true story of Grace Marks, whose sentence of death for the murder of her employers is commuted to life imprisonment, at which point she becomes fair game for the doctors and do-gooders who wish to analyse good and evil and Grace in particular.
Margaret Atwood was born in Ottawa.
