Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy

Blood Meridian is a rare account of the American Wild West. It tells the story of a group of men in possession of guns and horses on the Texas-Mexico border in the 1840’s. McCarthy’s version of the American past as a sort of hell is almost unprecedented and his refusal to offer meaning and moral shape to the story makes this novel original and disturbing.
Cormac McCarthy was born in Rhode Island.
