The Rabbit Quartet by John Updike

These books tell the story of Harry 'Rabbit' Angstrom, teenage basketball star of little education and no vocation, tracing his life from his early twenties through four decades to his death. The Daily Telegraph describes these books as 'a rollicking index to the fears and dreams of middle-America during the thirty years'. Updike is an irresistibly funny writer with a deceptively easy style.

John Updike was born in Pennsylvania. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Rabbit is Rich and Rabbit at Rest.
