From Pictures to Words - a guide to choosing books for beginner readers: Rhyme

Danny and Baby Do It All by Brianóg Brady Dawson
Published by The O’Brien Press Ltd., 2000
ISBN 0-86278-690-8

Poor old Danny Brown is suffering from a bad case of sibling jealousy. Everyone knows that reaching the age of one is no big deal but Susie continues to get loads and loads of presents for her first birthday. The Baby Do It All dolly from Gran was the worst; she looked silly, her legs were bent and fat and she had no hair.

For everyone else, Baby Do It All is fantastic. She laughs, she cries and best of all she wets! For Danny this is the worst thing about the doll. Matters go from bad to worse when Danny decides to make the doll pay for destroying his gun caps.

Other stories about Danny include, Danny’s Smelly Toothbrush and Danny’s Sick Trick all available in the Panda series from O’Brien Press.
