Martians at Mudpuddle Farm by Michael Morpurgo
Published by Collins 1993
ISBN 0-00-674494-X
Illustrations © Shoo Rayner, 1992

Martians at Mudpuddle Farm is a story about animals with a good helping of the supernatural thrown in to capture the imagination of children as young as six. Lots of illustration, comic-style text and an amusing story written in large type are characteristics of the Jets series.

Little Bee getting lost and requiring the whole swarm to search for her could mean Farmer Rafferty will never earn the honey money he needs to buy a new tractor. However a series of events lead to the farm opening to the public; the main attraction being a perfect corn circle that Farmer Rafferty thinks is the work of Martians with ray guns. Only the animals know what really happened!
