Peter Pan by J.M Barrie

This is a magical tale of Peter Pan – the young boy who will never grow old – and of his adventures in Neverland with the Darling children Wendy, Michael and John. The Darlings live in London with their parents and nanny, a Newfoundland dog. Their father is extremely proper and works in stocks and shares. He likes things to look proper and gets very upset if they’re not just so. Their mother, who first discovered Peter Pan as she was tidying her children’s minds at bedtime, (as all good mothers do!), is a lovely lady with a romantic mind and a sweet mocking mouth.

As Peter Pan was first written in 1904 by J. M. Barrie, the language is somewhat old- world, but it has lost none of its magic and still continues to fascinate its readers. It is a wonderful story suited for older children or for parents to select as a bedtime read.
