Bertrand and Madeline shouldn’t have got married. Even their children thought so. Thus it is not suprising that the family’s holiday in Northumberland gets off to a bad start.

But things turn much worse after Madeline steps on St. Cuthbert’s tomb in Durham Cathedral, for the whole family are plunged into a series of bizarre and frightening events. Soon they come to feel that the eye of the long-dead saint is really on them . . .
