Children’s Book Festival 2007

Festival Competition: Design a Bookmark

The Design a Bookmark Competition run by Clare County Library in association with Children’s Books Ireland was held for the fifth year in a row during CBF 2007.
Entries were judged by Clare County Arts Officer, Siobhan Mulcahy, Carrie Stafford, Senior Executive Librarian and Patricia Fitzgerald, Executive Librarian at Library Headquarters.

From a total of over 2000 entries, the 2007 County winners were Eve Quinn from Kilmurry National School in the senior category and Hannah Casey, Fanore National School, in the junior category. Both girls receive a €50 book token and an award certificate, compliments of Clare County Library and The Youth Library Group of The Library Association of Ireland.

In addition, the winning designs will become Clare County Library’s official bookmarks for 2007/2008 and will be available in all branches.
