In all fifteen public library branches in Clare, children's bookstock has been overhauled on a continuing basis since 1994. Each library has a reliable and modern collection of fiction, non-fiction and reference books for children. Children's fiction is divided into picture books, junior fiction for 6 to 9 year olds and senior fiction for 9 to 12 year olds. Reference, non-fiction, and books in the Irish language constitute the remainder of children's stock in all branches. Membership of the children's library is free. Members may borrow a total of four books from any library branch in the county. |
