Clare County Library's e-audio service allows registered library members to download electronic audio books for free. All you need is a PC with broadband internet access, and you can download the selected eAudio book, play it on your PC or transfer it to your MP player, iPod or even your mobile phone. You may download and 'check out' up to ten audiobooks at a time for a 'loan' period of three weeks. Audio books may be renewed once. Each title offers unlimited availability and simultaneous access for all borrowers, so every library user can download all the latest bestsellers at the same time, making waiting lists a thing of the past. Access more than 550 bestselling Clipper Audio titles and download them at home.

The Clipper Audio Book Collection has moved from NetLibrary and is now hosted on the EBSCO platform.
If you have had an account with NetLibrary it will be necessary to create a new one on the EBSCO platform.
You will also need to uninstall the NetLibrary Media Centre and Download Manager from your computer. The new EBSCO Download Manager is a simple, quick installation with minimum system requirements. Once you have created your account on EBSCO click on the icon above or follow the link on the left to access the login page.

Notice:
If you have experienced any difficulty in using Download Manager, please note that EBSCO’s developers have released a patch which addresses the error messages you received when attempting to download an Audiobook previously. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Please see instructions below so that you can update your Download Manager with the patch released.

Log into the Audiobook Collection database and into your personal folder.
Select an Audiobook to Checkout & Download.
Begin Download:
During this step the Download Manager will search for updates, and locate the file including the patch.
Select “Install Now” when prompted with the option to install the updated version of Download manager.
Complete the download.
Close out of the Audiobook Collection in your browser window/tab.
Log back into the Audiobook Collection database and into your personal folder.
Locate the Audiobook and start the download again.

For anyone encountering a .NET Framework issue, please note that when installing the Audiobooks Download Manager software on a Windows-based computer, Windows must be running .NET Framework version 3.0 SP2 or higher. Users can upgrade their system to the latest version by clicking here to install it from the Microsoft Download Center. You will be prompted at any rate to download and install the .NET Framework update the first time you attempt to install Download Manager. Please install this first, and then proceed to install Download Manager.
