Currach

Made in Quilty in the 1940's, this canvas currach was owned by Paddy O'Donnell of Liscannor, and was later used by Jack Garrihy, in Doolin. Originally made with leather instead of canvas, these boats were the workhorses of coastal communities on the Irish West Coast.
