Death |
Died Yesterday morning of typhus fever, Mr James Boland
of Jail St. Grocer - the premature death of this young man, carried off
in the prime and vigour of life has caused very general regret and sympathy
for a young and interesting wife and aged parents. In his disposition
he was obliging and strictly correct in his intercourse with society.
But a few days since, when he whose early demise we are called upon to
mention, promised to all appearance length of days - how frequently is
that awful admonition repeated to us: in the midst of life we are in death |

Sunday last Mr Wm. Dwyer and Mr M. Shannon were proceeding
from Ennistymon towards Miltown, they were attacked by a number of men
who assailed them with stones one of which struck Mr Dwyer in the forehead
and instantly deprived him of life. Mr Shannon escaped unhurt. Mr Dwyer,
who has thus lost his life, was a quiet and inoffensive gentleman, and
has, we regret to learn, left a young family to deplore his loss. We understand
the cause of the attack being made on them originated in a denial from
Mr Shannon in giving to those men a young woman who rode behind him. Two
men names John Sheehan |

Death |
Yesterday evening, of a typhus fever, aged sixteen,
the eldest daughter of Mr James Gallery of Mill Street. The premature
dissolution of this young and interesting girl is a source of the deepest
affliction to her parents, and of general public sympathy - but a few
days since we announced the death of the eldest son of Mr Gallery on his
return from London, where he nearly completed a course of surgical studies,
and the fatal issue of the disease may, in a great measure, be attributed
to her affliction for his untimely demise. |
