Dwyer Shannon Death Sunday last Mr Wm. Dwyer and Mr M. Shannon were proceeding from Ennistymon towards Miltown, they were attacked by a number of men who assailed them with stones one of which struck Mr Dwyer in the forehead and instantly deprived him of life. Mr Shannon escaped unhurt. Mr Dwyer, who has thus lost his life, was a quiet and inoffensive gentleman, and has, we regret to learn, left a young family to deplore his loss. We understand the cause of the attack being made on them originated in a denial from Mr Shannon in giving to those men a young woman who rode behind him.
