NLI Film 02476/04

Transcriber/Donator: Sheila Duddy

Transcriber Notes:

Transcriber warns to expect mistakes as she found it impossible to distinguish between Bourke and Rourke and between Hallinan and Halloran, for instance. The abbreviations for James and John (Jas and Jno) are easy to distinguish when they are in print, but not when they are in handwriting, and the abbreviation for Margaret (Marg.) is very like Mary. Always check the original.

A nice feature of these baptisms is that, very often, the townland for each sponsor is given, but (a word of caution here) where there is only one townland given, it’s not really clear whether this is for both sponsors, or for just one of them.
