Clare Election

We, the undersigned electors of the Town of Kilrush,

Hereby Pledge ourselves, at the ensuing Election, to use all the legitimate means in our power, to secure the return of Francis McNamara Calcutt, Esq., our well-tried and honest Representative; and we most earnestly request the cooperation of all the inhabitants of the Town and surrounding country, in order to prevent another Candidate being imposed on us by Bribery and Corruption, such as had been at the last election.

And we therefore hope that the disgrace which had been then inflicted on our Noble and Historic County will be wiped away by the triumphant majority which will be recorded in favour of that un-purchase-able Patriot, by the Virtue and Patriotism of the Men of Immortal Clare:-
