Witness to War 1917 – 1923: Commandant Séamus Hennessy

Séamus Hennessy (1894-1969) was born at Moy, Lahinch and was an active member of the Irish Volunteers and later, the I.R.A., during the War of Independence and the Civil War. In this article, Colin Hennessy details his military and political activities as well as his family and farming life. Clare County Library is grateful to Colin for donating this article.
