Location and Brief Description
Corofin is picturesquely situated on the river Fergus, 10 miles E. of Ennistymon and 9 miles N.W. of Ennis, the capital of Clare. It is a small market town surrounded by lakes and groves, and ideally situated for fishermen and huntsmen.

Brief comments on water supply and sewerage: The water supply is good and under the supervision of the Clare Board of Health. The water is got from Lake Inchiquin through a reservoir. No sewerage system.

Dance Hall: Not suitable for dancing. There is an old building being remodelled for dancing. It will under care of the local L.D.F.
