Location and Brief Description:
Miltown-Malbay, a country town is situated in the
west of Clare and 1½ miles from the Atlantic ocean and Spanish
Point. It lies 7 miles S.-W. of the sea-side resort, Lahinch, 14 miles
due west of Ennis and 3 miles N.E. of Quilty village. There is reasonably
good accommodation, but Miltown has little to interest the tourist nearer
than Spanish Point, where golfing and bathing facilities are available.
It is an ideal centre to the lover of Gaelic football.
Is there a Town Hall? Yes Location: Church St. Parks, Gardens and Recreation Grounds.
Brief Description: Brief comments on water supply and sewerage: The water supply is good. The water is pumped from Rockmont lake through a reservoir. The sewerage has been recently laid and is up to-date. Both are in care of Clare Board of Health. Public Services Dancing
