Parish of Kilfarboy

  1. Situation; Name; Supposed by Archdall to be the Cill Foilric mentioned by Colgan (AA. SS. p. 360) of which Cormac was Bishop; St. Lachtainn the only Saint remembered in the Ph.; His festival observed there on 19th March (the same as in Achadh-Uir in Ossory); His well in the Churchyard still much frequented by devotees.

  2. Old Church; Teampall-Inis-Dia - (Church of the Island of God) old church in Moymore.

  3. Holy Well in do. dedicated to Inghean-Bhaoith (St. Innewee or Innyboy) of Kilneboy at which devotions are performed; Cnoc-a-Chip Hill from Kilmanaheen Parish; Old Castle (remains of) in do.; Notices of it from Annals of IV. Masters; Assorted Letters.
