Creative Ireland 2023-2027 Creative Ireland is an all-of-government culture and wellbeing programme that inspires and transforms people, places and communities through creativity. We are committed to the vision that every person in Ireland should have the opportunity to realise their full creative potential. Helen Walsh, County Librarian, is Co-ordinator of the Creative Ireland Clare programme. The Programme is delivered collaboratively by a multi-disciplinary Culture and Creativity Team of representatives from the Arts, Heritage, Rural and Community Development, Enterprise, Libraries, Archives, Museum, Climate and Health sections of Clare County Council. The team carries out all activities under the priorities set out in the Clare County Council Culture and Creativity Strategy 2023 -2027, and the Creative Communities Pillar of the Creative Ireland programme. Cruinniú na nÓg, a Day of Youthful Creativity, is also one of Creative Ireland's initiatives. The new Clare Culture and Creativity Strategy 2023 - 2027 was launched, together with strategies from 30 other Local Authorities by Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media, Catherine Martin TD, and Minister of State with responsibility for Local Government and Planning, Kieran O’Donnell TD on the 23 February 2023. The vision for the new strategy is to 'embed culture and creativity into the activities, sustainability and growth of communities'. This vision together with the priorities set out in the strategy will be a guiding framework for community and cultural activities supported by the Clare Creative Ireland Cultural Team until 2027. A total of €962,675.00 has been allocated to Creative Ireland projects in Clare since 2017.
