| Clare County Library: Re-organisation The automation of the library service facilitated the complete re-engineering of the library structure. The county is now divided into functional regions, and service departments. The recognition of the importance of local studies in Clare by the creation of the professional post of Local Studies Librarian, guarantees a structured development of this service, which, in fact, is the only such full-time service for any county in Ireland. Similiarly, the creation of the post of Children's Librarian in Library Headquarters, attests to the importance the library places on its services to young people. |
