Music Collections at Clare County Library

Music collections are available at Ennis, Shannon, Scariff, Ennistymon and Miltown libraries. The music collection at the Hillery Public Library, Miltown Malbay focuses on traditional Irish music with particular emphasis on the music of County Clare. The collections at the other libraries cover classical, traditional, rock, pop and dance, blues and jazz, world and county genres. Classic recordings for each genre are featured in addition to current releases. All of the CDs are available for borrowing by adult members of Clare County Library.

• Adult members of Clare County Library may borrow two CDs at a time and keep them for up to 4 weeks. These will be counted as part of the overall allocation of eight items.
• Music CDs may be reserved and renewed in the same way as other items.
• The front and back inserts, the CD box and any accompanying booklets are considered to be an integral part of the CD. Any CDs returned with missing material will not be discharged from the borrower's account until the missing parts have been returned or the full replacement price of the CD has been paid.
• Borrowers must pay the replacement price of any lost or damaged CDs plus an additional amount to cover processing costs. If one CD from a set of two or more is lost, the whole set must be paid for as it is not possible for us to replace individual parts of a set.
• Fines for overdue CDs are charged at the same rate as books.
